The Sweet FA's:

A brief history

Since its founding in 2012, YunoJuno has been a place where connections between freelancers and companies happen. But as our community grew we wanted to do more. Freelancers, for many years, have been the unsung hero of great work - work that has created billions of dollars in value for clients and they have become an integral part of furthering innovation. The Sweet FA's was created celebrate this fact.

Celebrating excellence in professional independence.

Every year the YunoJuno community gets stronger and every year The Freelancer Awards make a bigger impact in elevating the freelance economy. We are incredibly proud to use our platform to celebrate and recognise these individuals as well as the forward-thinking organisations hiring them.

Being a freelancer takes bravery, tenacity and entrepreneurialism - but most of these traits are often hidden from view. From nominations to votes to the winners, the Sweet FAs has redefined recognition of the agile workforce in a truly community-driven event.

More than just an awards ceremony

Winning this award was a highlight of my year! I’ve always found YJ a great place to be spotted and hired, and to be recognised in this way, as a freelancer, is so valuable.

As a freelancer I have often felt unseen, so winning the Developer of the Year award felt extra special. It’s amazing to feel recognised for the hard work that we do.
